Sweden 2011 Jan-May

Bon Voyage!
Our adventure to Sweden started on the 14th of January, 2011. Leaving 40 degree heat in Perth we arrived into -11degrees in Stockholm. In the next four months we would form life long friendships as we take on a new culture, climate and make memories we will never forget. Alicia and Elissa were the best travel buddies I could have ever asked for.

Jonkoping
This is the Beautiful town I lived in for 4 months. It has a population of about 90,000. Its kind of known amongst Swedes as a boring, sleepy church town, but with thousands of international exchange students let loose there was always plenty of fun to be had.

Centrum

Systembolaget, otherwise known as the bottlo. If you went in there on a Wednesday afternoon or Saturday morning you were bound you see some one you know.

Jonkoping University

School of Health Sciences

Vilhelmsro
I lived at a student housing block called Vilhelmsro. It used to be a mental hospital, as you can tell by the double doors and sound proofing. There was about 10 main corridors each with a bathroom and kitchen. Vilhelmsro was also bit of a party house, even though it was out of town.

Frozen lake
As it got colder Lake Vattern froze enough for people to skate on it, walk on it and even sail boats that skid on the ice!

Ski Trips

 Tobogganing! Sooo much fun!!!
